New Delhi Connaught Place
One of the most important business centers in the capital city of India is Connaught Place, which houses seven of the most important firms in India. Robert Tor Russel and W H Nicholls were the two architects who designed this place. It was built to honor the Duke of Connaught, a member of the British royal family. It is the most significant shopping destination and you can find plenty of restaurants, eateries, shops and theaters here. It can be divided into two categories- inner circle and outer circle. The inner circle of the Connaught Place lets you shop any international brands and books.
You can relish local cuisines in the exquisite restaurants and food stalls here. Inner circle has two markets – Janpath and Palika Bazaar. If you want to buy garments at cheaper rates, the small shops in Janpath are the right option for you. You can even buy silver and artificial jewelry in Tibetan shops. Palika bazaar is an underground supermarket that supplies clothes and electronic goods at cheap prices. There are nearly 400 shops here and if you are an expert in bargaining, you can definitely get a better deal. The outer circle of the Connaught Place houses various offices and complexes. It also allows you to satisfy your taste buds. You can find number of Indian and specialty restaurants in the Outer Circle. You can savor Indian or continental dishes in these restaurants. Baba Kharak Singh Marg is another spot in Connaught Place, New Delhi. It offers splendid handicraft items from all over India. You can find Madhubani paintings and Kashmiri shawls here.
